WHAT TO EXPECT
on your first visit.
Our Sunday act of worship typically lasts for around an hour to an an hour and fifteen minutes. It consists of a gathering time followed by sung worship in which both contemporary and traditional songs are utilized, after which we hear a message from one of the pastoral team. After the message we have a response time during which prayer teams are available to pray for any needs that you may have. During this response time we also take Holy Communion at least once per month.
During worship we will ask you to fill out a connection card so that we can keep in contact with you. We also provide all our first time guests with a free copy of the book "Finding Your Way Back to God" by the Ferguson brothers - so don't forget to collect it on your way out.
When arriving at the church you are free to park on the gravel parking lots on either side of the church, as well as on the street parking outside the church. The main entrance for worship is the double doors located on the D street side of the church.
Walking In the Door
As you walk in the door at Willamina FMC you should be greeted by someone and offered one of the programs for our worship service. There will be cookies and coffee available for you. We usually open the door to the sanctuary about 20 minutes before the start of worship for you to have plenty of time to find a seat to sit on.
Your child is welcome to sit in worship with you if you so wish, but we have a team of people excited to help take care of them and teach them about Jesus. For your littlest one the nursery provides a safe space for them to play during the service, whilst for your elementary kids our children's church is a great place to be. Check in for children's church is in the fellowship hall, and your child should be picked up from the same location. All our volunteers are background checked, given specialized training, and have been at our church for at least 6 months before being allowed to assist with our children's church.
Our restrooms are located in the back of the fellowship hall near the kitchen. We also have an ADA compliant bathroom in our nursery if you so require it.
